The Chairman's Challenge - The Key to Unlocking a Student's Potential
04/23/2015

There are many factors that influence an individual's success in life. At the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation, we believe the key to succeeding is synonymous with attaining a college degree. However, the road to success can be a strenuous one for several factors. In today's society, one in six students does not complete their college education within four years due to financial reasons.

As a not-for-profit organization, we pride ourselves on recognizing and rewarding students who demonstrate academic excellence, but also have great financial need.   To be educated without financial burden is not the norm; it is a privilege. The Foundation is proud to once again award $10,000 scholarships to exceptional students—for a total of $250,000—that will be distributed on June 20, 2015 at the Hilton Chicago.

Take the Chairman's Challenge!

Chris P. Tomaras founded the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation in order to help alleviate some of this financial burden from college students and their families. Because it is his personal mission to see that bright students are able to endure the obstacles of attaining a college education, he initiated the Chairman's Challenge.

For a second consecutive year, Mr. Tomaras will personally match each contribution of $1,000 or more. With a goal to raise $250,000, combined with his matching gift of up to $250,000, we can reach a total of $500,000. Your donation doubles in value and most importantly, is the key to unlocking the potential in our Greek-American youth, helping to impact each and every award recipient.

For matching gifts of $10,000, there will be an honorary scholarship award in the name of your choice that will be presented at the upcoming Awards Ceremony and Gala. Additional matching gift opportunities are also available. A full description of the Chairman's Challenge can be found here.  You can make your donation online or by contacting (312) 357-6432. Your donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law.
