IN THE NEWSPanHellenic Scholarship Foundation to Sponsor Greek Media Club Event 09/27/2011
Upwards of 300 revelers - including many local mainstream and Greek American media personalities - are anticipating the arrival of Thursday, October 13, when the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation hosts "Sports & Education Night.� The purpose of the event is to bring awareness to the Foundation's efforts to fund its annual scholarships of a quarter of a million dollars to high-achieving Greek American students.
The event is being held at the newly-opened Play18 Chicago (17 N. Wabash, 3rd floor, Chicago), the Loop's only upscale indoor golf facility boasting the latest in state-of-the-art golf simulators set in a country club atmosphere. Event attendees include members of Chicago's Greek Media Club, along with the Hellenic Professional Society of Illinois, EuroCircle Chicago, and DailyFrappe.com.
The Foundation is excited to welcome special guest and prominent Philhellene Marv Levy. The Hall of Fame and former Buffalo Bills head coach just released his new book Between the Lies, a work of fiction about a Super Bowl cheating scandal.
Mr. Chris Tomaras, Chairman of the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation, will also address the crowd on the topic of the Foundation's mission.
Doors open at 7pm and attendees will enjoy complimentary wine and beer, along with tasty appetizers. Cash bar will be available after 9:30pm. Guests will enjoy music spun by renowned DJ John Grammatis, and the party will continue until midnight. Valet parking is available for $10.

Save the Date! PanHellenic Awards Ceremony and Gala
As a reminder, please save the date for the Foundation's Gala on June 16, 2012. The Award Ceremony will take place at Chicago's historic Merle Reskin Theatre followed by the Gala at the Chicago Hilton. The Merle Reskin Theatre was originally founded in 1910 and has been home to countless unique productions spanning the last century. Following the Awards Ceremony, guests will continue their evening across the street at the Hilton Chicago, where they will enjoy cocktails, dinner and dancing. Uniquely presented by a well-known personality and featuring world class entertainment, the Gala is considered to be the premier social event of the Greek American Community, attended by hundreds of supporters, distinguished guests, past and present award recipients, and their families.
