PanHellenic Announces 2014 Paradigm Award Recipient

Always bring pride and honor to your name.”  This is the core belief by which Jim Speros, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of Fidelity Investments has lived his life. The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation (PHSF) is proud to announce Mr. James D. Speros as the 2014 Paradigm Award Recipient. 

 

Mr. Speros earned his bachelor of Business Administration degree, magna cum laude, in marketing from Bernard M. Baruch College in New York City. In addition, he received an Advanced Management Certificate from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.  Mr. Speros will receive his award at the PHSF 2014 Awards Ceremony and Gala on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Hilton Chicago. 

 

Since joining Fidelity Investments in 2008, Mr. Speros has led all creative development and corporate sponsorship activities for more than 30 businesses and organizations. He was responsible for creating Fidelity's award-winning “Green Line” integrated campaign.  Prior to Fidelity, he also held leadership positions as Chief Marketing Officer of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Ernst & Young, and as Advertising and Marketing Communications Vice President of AT&T.

Considered one of the top thought leaders in marketing and advertising with strong creative and leadership skills, he has served on the Board of Directors of the Advertising Council, Chairman of the Board of BPA International and Chairman of the Board of the Association of National Advertisers (ANA). He also initiated and chaired the ANA's Multicultural Marketing Committee and launched the industry's first-ever Multicultural Excellence Awards in 2001. Mr. Speros is the recipient of numerous industry awards including being inducted into the highly prestigious, American Advertising Federation's, Advertising Hall of Achievement.

 

“I am honored and privileged to be the 2014 Paradigm Award recipient.  It is a testament to the Hellenic values my parents instilled in me and the results of the many sacrifices they made to ensure I receive a college education and a chance to succeed in life. They instilled pride in my Greek American heritage, the importance of our faith and gave me roots and wings to soar”, said Jim Speros in acknowledging having been selected the 2014 Paradigm Award Recipient. 

 

In addition, Mr. Speros serves on the Executive Board of Overseers of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and on the Board of Directors of the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston.  He is an Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and served as the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle's head of the Spirituality Committee.  Mr. Speros has also served on the Archdiocesan Communications Committee working closely with the Reverend Father Alexander Karloutsos.
