Building the Dream: the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation Outlines Four Growth Initiatives
06/29/2016

The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation would like to once again extend a sincere thank you to all who attended or supported the SOLD OUT 2016 Awards Ceremony and Gala on Saturday, June 18, at the Ritz-Carlton, Chicago. The event was attended by over 500 guests.

At the gala, newly-appointed Chairman, Robert A. Buhler, spoke about the future of the Foundation, and outlined the Board’s four initiatives for growth:

1) Internships and Jobs
After our undergraduates receive their scholarships, the Foundation will work to provide access to internships and full-time job opportunities. The Foundation plans to begin to facilitate connections between our scholarship recipients and interested employers to give our students these opportunities. Corporate, higher education, and service entities interested in tapping into our extensive Scholar-talent pool to offer internships and permanent employment, please contact us directly (as indicated below).

2) Junior Board and PanHellenic Honors Society
The Foundation will connect and engage all 366 scholarship recipients with each other through the newly-developed Junior Board. When our students receive their awards, they are automatically inducted into the PanHellenic Honors Society. The Junior Board will lead the Honors Society to facilitate networking, mentorship, and opportunities to "give back" to the PanHellenic.

3) Regional Board Members
The Foundation will further its national reach by establishing Regional Board Representatives. These Regional Representatives will facilitate information sessions and events to promote the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation’s mission in different regions across the country. We welcome potential Regional leaders. Please contact us directly.

4) Scholarship Partnerships
The Foundation will be expanding by partnering and co-branding with other entities who support Hellenic educational initiatives and choose to use the PanHellenic’s award selection process. Profiling the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation with other exceptional brands is an efficient and meaningful way to support our young scholars, while adhering to the Foundation's high standards. Interested organizations who would like to discuss scholarship co-branding and partnership efforts with the Foundation, please contact us directly.

“We hope your support, as demonstrated by an overwhelming turnout at the Gala, and your endorsed interest in our four growth initiatives continue through the year,” said Chairman Buhler. “I personally look forward to selecting Regional Directors who want to help advance our mission. The Foundation's Board members look forward to connecting with corporations and organizations who want to draw from our exceptional group of Scholars, and who also profile exceptional Hellenic qualities. Our co-branding initiative has already taken hold, as exemplified at the Gala with AHEPA and HAWC," said Buhler.
